Hello my name is Roger Shelton and I just completed building my cnc router but I only have laptops right now so I haven't been able to hook it up to a desktop yet. I got all my motors and software from RockCliff and the rest came from around the U.S. I hope everything works OK. I have a CNC plasma cutter(Plasmacam) so I know alittle about using a cnc machine..(VERY LITTLE)

Welcome to the group. If you are looking for an inexpensive PC to run your CNC software I would looking on your local craigs list.org site. Around here I can find 1Ghz and faster systems with 256+ Mb of RAM for $50-$75. This is what I'm using for my Mach3/EMC2 machine controller and has been working well for around 2 years.

What kind of projects are you planning to do with your new CNC router?

Thanks I will check it out...not sure just yet on what kind of projects. I have alot of DXF files that I use with my Plasmacam.
